Awarded to both officers and enlisted personnel assigned to either the security police or the special investigations career fields. Replaces the security police qualification badge which became obsolete in 1998. The law enforcement career field is responsible for providing security for state laws, maintaining the installation correction facility, conducting investigations, and maintaining an effective antiterrorism program.
